Side Projects

Side projects are just extra projects that were assigned at the beginning of the year to help us get to the point of creating functional rooms and drafting, also deciding what kind's of fabrics we would and should use for different climates and areas in the residential or commercial design world. All of these assignments helped us to prepare for our future into the interior design field.

The assignment was to create a story out of metal, and to later explain why we chose these specific materials. I chose how history has many shocking things about itself; When mankind first discovered dinosaurs, we were shocked to even know there could have been animals much larger than us. Although I'm sure they discovered whales by that time, but land creatures triple our size was possibly much different then.

We were given this assignment to later put into a chair rendering booklet.

The project helped us to practice hand rendering, also demonstrating the different fabric styles that would be used for the German Biedermier era.
